Our house had been on and off the market for 2+ years without receiving one offer from a potential buyer. My wife and I were separated during this time and were very anxious to move forward with out situation. We decided to interview other realtors that could provide a different marketing approach to sell our house. We chose David Hill and his team from Keller Williams. We liked David for several reasons:
  • He had a large team that would assist with the sales process.
  • He had a honest, calming and confident disposition.
  • He had good ideas to sell the house and lot of marketing clout.
  • Lastly, he told me his goal was to sell the house in 30 days.

The result? We received our first and last offer within that 30 day period and closed on our house with perfect timing.

Because we had such an efficient experience with David, I asked him to assist me with the purchase of a home. He assigned his buyer's realtor, Jim Black. Jim unfortunately, did not know what he was getting himself into. I had high expectations of what I was going to buy with limited financial resources to purchase. I am also very particular about things. When Jim brought me through the initial open inventory of homes on the market, the houses were older with half the SF and one tenth the acreage. I remarked to Jim: "I'm not in Kansas anymore...". I know Jim must have taken a deep breath at that point.

Jim quickly moved to understand my requirements...and to get to know me personally. He did not present any homes that he knew I would not like...and he did not try to oversell the benefits of any house to overshadow it's weaknesses...just to make a sale. He was a straight shooter and cared about placing me in a good home. He had a keen eye on the true value of the homes we visited in relation to the asking price.

Ultimately, we found a home that was perfect for my needs and in a great location. Jim was key during the negotiations and continued his dedication beyond the offer stage. He was very involved in the home inspection process, taking copious notes and providing his recommendations to include in the purchase & sale conditions. He also recommended the real estate firm, Portnoy and Greene to assist with the closing. They employed a very sharp and diligent paralegal who did an exceptional job assisting with the closing of my home. The icing on the cake was that Jim followed up with a courtesy call a few weeks after the closing to ensure I was happy with the purchase. That signaled to me that he cares about his craft and wants to get post closing feedback to learn for future reference.

I have purchased 4 homes over the past 20 years and found my experience with David Hill and his team to be the best. I also highly recommend Jim Black as a purchasing agent my experience with Jim was unparalleled.

When we decided to buy a loft in Worcester, we randomly emailed him on a Sunday. He emailed back the same day and set up four showings for the very next day!
